Prune Cake
| Ingredients For Cake
|
3 eggs
1 tsp all spice
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup Wesson oil
1 cup buttermilk
2 cup all purpose flour, sift
1 cup cooked prunes, mashed fine
1 tsp. soda
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. Vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. nutmeg
| Ingredients For Icing
|
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp. white karo syrup
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
| Directions For Cake
|
Blend all together. Cook in sheet cake or layers at 300 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
| Directions For Icing
|
Bring to a rapid boil and stick holes in cake with a fork and spread on icing while still warm. Sprinkle with nuts or coconut.
